Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Richard Lee as chief financial officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Reporting to Mark Zinkula, chief executive officer, Mr Lee will be taking over from Siobhan Boylan who is leaving LGIM to join Brewin Dolphin as finance director, effective early next year.
Mr Lee’s most recent role was group performance director for Legal & General Group and has held a number of positions across the organisation since joining Legal & General in 1997. As group performance director, he was responsible for driving financial performance across the retirement, insurance, investment management and capital divisions. Prior to this, he held the positions of chief financial officer and chief risk officer in Legal & General Retirement (LGR).
Michael Rallings, currently group capital director, will move into Mr Lee’s role of group performance director.
Legal & General Investment Management is one of Europe’s largest asset managers with total assets of £984.8 billion as of 31 June 2018.
