Standard Chartered recruits new south-east Asia head from UBS

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Peter Kok as its new head of private banking for the ASEAN south-east Asia region.
 
He was most recently the managing director and regional market manager at UBS. In this role, he led the wealth management business in Singapore and Malaysia as well as the external asset management business in Singapore and Hong Kong.
 
Prior to joining UBS in 2007, he held a range of senior positions leading the private banking business at ING and ABN AMRO in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
 
Based in Singapore, Mr Kok will report to Michael Benz, global head of private banking clients, and Neeraj Swaroop, chief executive Singapore.
