EXCLUSIVE: Kleinwort Benson's head of wealth planning leaves firm
07/08/2014 , News Team

Kleinwort Benson's head of wealth planning Marianne Kafena has left the firm.

Ms Kafena headed up a team of tax and financial planning client advisers, and was mostly responsible for running the UK trusts business. She joined Kleinwort from Lombard Odier in 2011, where she worked as a senior wealth planner involved in providing legal support to private bankers.

Ms Kafena will be joining private client law firm Farrer & Co as a partner at the end of September and is understood to be leaving Kleinwort on the best of terms.

The bulk of her role at Kleinwort is expected to pass to head of Kleinwort Benson Trustees Ltd Simon Rees, a former PAM Awards Judge. Mr Rees joined Kleinwort in May from New Quadrant Partners.
